Tropical Island

Task

Experiment with the Brushify - Tropical Pack to create a small beach scene

Inspiration and origin

I saw a video by joe garth creator of Brushify go through his work process on creating tropical islands and wanted to try it as I had never seen a project that large in scale done so quickly and easily.

I had also just finished playing far cry 3 for the first time and so decided to throw in a small reference to it.

 

 

Software used

  • Unreal Engine 4.25

    Unreal was used to procedurally generate all the trees and assemble the scene as a hole.

  • Blender

    Blender was used to model the knife seen at the end of the video.

  • Mixer

    Mixer was used to quickly texture the knife seen at the end of the video.

  • Gaea

    Gaea was used to generate a height map which could then be used to generate the terrain in the scene.
